Our Mission

To provide a distinctively Faith-based environment for sharing past shames, accepting God’s Promise and discovering the new life, free from those pains and addictions.  Drawing on the strengths from Matthew 6:33-34, we shall seek God’s grace and forgiveness for those inequities and the subsequent life of holiness and purpose.

Our purpose each day is to grow spiritually and serve as a vessel of God’s mercy.  We endeavor to make a positive difference in every person we interact with and strive to improve the body, mind, emotions and spirit with truth and love.

God birthed this ministry in our hearts after seeing many individuals and families suffering from the pains of past sin.  Romans 6:21 asks us, “What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!”  Volunteering with organizations such as Urban Youth Impact, St. George’s Kitchen, Christ Fellowship Outreach Ministry, plus leading short-term mission teams to Peru, Honduras, Colombia and Waveland, MS for many years has shown God’s desire to use us for His will.

Our name, Today’s Promise, affirms God’s promise is cemented in Matthew 6:33-34 telling us, “33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Equally important, in our faith we believe Jesus is the Son of God (John 3:16), The Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6), Our Savior (1John 4:14) and the Sovereign Ruler (Heb 4:13).  Hebrews 11:6 tells us, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”  Galatians 5:6 continues this compassion “…The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love,” and James 2:17 shares, “…In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

God gave us a passion to serve others suffering from pains and addictions we’ve experienced.  More importantly, He has provided this ministry after years of preparation and training through His Word.  He has set us free from sin and given new life (Romans 6, 7, 8).  Our desire is to serve and associate with like-minded people who will further the organization’s purpose and beliefs.
